DANA BADMINTON TOURNAMENT CIRCUIT 2004/2005

Dear badminton friends,

We will organize a circuit of tournaments in the season 2004/2005 for the young players in the categories under 13 and under 17. Apart from Slovene participants, we hope to attract players from Croatia and other neighboring countries. The aim of the circuit is to establish the base for the future Alpe-Adria Circuit which will hopefully help to raise the standard of the young players involved and contribute to the popularity of the sport. Therefore we hope to attract as many international competitors as possible. The best players in the overall rankings will receive many practical prizes in the total value of more than 250.000 SIT (more than 1.000 EUR). Furthermore the main sponsor Dana will provide free drinks at every tournament.

"DANA jabolko U17" tournaments (singles and doubles)

This circuit consists of 7 tournaments. Final rankings are established as a total of 6 best results achieved by a particular player. 1st place = 50 points, 2nd = 40 points, semifinalists = 30 points, quarterfinalists = 20 points, last 16 = 10 points. Maximum = 6x50 points, i.e. 300 points.

Every tournament starts with group play in groups of 3-4 players, winners of the groups qualify for the main draw where the simple K.O. system will be used. There will be 4-8 seeded players put directly in the main draw (16 players). Best of 3 games to 15 and best of 3 games to 11 for girls will be used. The entries will be preliminary.

The winner of each tournament will receive a cup and the medals will be awarded to semi-finalists and the runner-up. Best 8 players in the overall rankings will receive valuable practical prizes from the sponsors.

The match losers will umpire one following match with the semi-finals and finals umpired by an accredited umpire. Entry fees will be 1.500 SIT for singles and 1.000 SIT per player in doubles.

The official shuttles are HL DELUXE or better and are on the expense of the players who will be able to purchase them at a reasonable price at the venues.

"DANA mango U13" tournaments (singles and doubles)

This circuit consists of 5 tournaments. Final rankings are established as a total of 4 best results achieved by a particular player. 1st place = 50 points, 2nd = 40 points, semifinalists = 30 points, quarterfinalists = 20 points, last 16 = 10 points. Maximum = 4x50 points, i.e. 200 points.

Other regulations are the same as above.

The official shuttles are HL EXCEL or better and are on the expense of the players who will be able to purchase them at a reasonable price at the venues.
